This viewpoint sets them apart from the other Democratic groups. Devout and Diverse and Disaffected Democrats, both financially strapped groups, are roughly divided in their views on hard work and success.
Views on the social safety net follow a liberal-conservative pattern across the typology groups, with a wide gulf between the views of Core Conservative and Solid Liberals. Across most typology groups, greater shares believe there are economic policies that can benefit all than say any policy will benefit some at the expense of others. Market Skeptic Republicans stand out from all other groups in their views. But there are differences in views about the right approach for ensuring coverage.
Market Skeptic Republicans, who widely say the economic system unfairly favors powerful interests, differ with the other right-leaning groups on tax policy. The typology groups are largely in agreement on the better approach to improve the job situation.

Search SpringerLink Search. According to figures from the left, the acquisition of private property is the result of the pursuit of self-interest and thereby represents social inequality. There are several reasons for this. Ownership of private property provides us with a sense of security. It offers physical and psychological protection from the pressures of the world outside and something to fall back on during difficult financial times.
Homeowners also have a clear stake within society, which thereby promotes conservative values such as the maintenance of law and order. Private property also enables us to reflect our sense of individuality and what values are important to our family. In addition, home ownership enables us to pass down our wealth to members of our own family, who then act as custodians of that wealth.
