I can't find anything online that explains why. But when I get a headache that meds won't help I've found that hitting the back of my own head with a closed fist, hard but not aggressivly so and rythmically helps a lot. It's a temporary fix that seems to only dull the pain for a few minutes, sometimes as much as minutes, but it works for me.
I wonder why though. I would think it would do the opposite. My husband hit me very hard at the back side of my skull, right side.
It happened on 2md June Since then I have frequent migraine which is triggered from the part i was hurt. Severe pain reaches to the eyes and eyebrows. When was out drinking, its not the 1st time he's attacked me, I was only 15, the bloke makes me sick! We was out drink and come home and my mum opened her mouth about something so drunk I was trying to verbally defend my self, I was about to go to bed and he threw something to th ride and attacked me, he held me down and punched the crown of my head enough to open cuts, I bleed alot, I managed to get up and run to another house, the police took his side and he said I attacked him, I never, my own mum took his side and picked him up from police station.
I was arrested and thrown in a cell, with a bad head, they never did a medical examination. I'm now 35 years old and I get head pain bad what triggers my ptsd, he gave me.

Christopher, I am so sorry that all that happened to you and that you were not cherished as a dear son!
I have a son Christopher who is just a little younger than you and is so beloved by me! This story breaks my heart so much especially as a mom of a son. I hope you are in a safe place now with people who truly care about you. I had some kind of horrible side effect of a flu and someone slammed a car trunk on my head and I wake up with headaches ugh.
I hope that in your life there will be someone who will be like a mum to you and protect you finally. I wish I could take all of those memories and pain away from you.
I pray that the Lord Jesus will surround you with His love and close the door to the past and open the door to a better future for you a precious valued young man. Hello I am so sorry you had to go through that! I had a similar stepfather, hated him. I let my abusive childhood affect my life for years, then I started to realize none of it was my fault.
I went for anxiety counseling and medication. It helped me to stop drinking and I just stopped dating abusive men. It might help you if you can do this too! Take care of yourself. I was wearing these oversized bell-bottom things and I decided that it would be a good idea to RUN in them. I ended up tripping over them and the right side of my head hit a door. It was the loudest thing ever and it woke everyone up.
My headaches are horrible and my right eye feels a bit strange. Might go to the doctor soon. Don't run in oversized pants, mostly when they are bell-bottoms. Dumbest thing I've ever done. I think. I was leaning towards my door to look out the window without opening my door and I hit the right side of my forehead on the door frame and it hurt.
